Bill Clinton Yelled At A Veteran To “Shut Up”

What (Really) Happened, Day #5

Since Veterans Day was on Saturday, let’s quickly recap the Clintons’ commitment to our Armed Forces:

During a February 2016 campaign event in South Carolina — only a few months after Hillary Clinton publicly dismissed the VA scandal as ‘not widespread’ — a member of the audience stood up and asked a question of Bill Clinton.

The audience member identified himself as a Marine and asked the former president about why Secretary Clinton had originally claimed that the terrorist attack on the U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya, was caused by an ‘offensive’ video on YouTube.

(We’ll get into this topic in more detail in January.)

After a little back-and-forth, instead of simply thanking the man for his service to our country and reciting the Democratic Party’s standard talking points on this topic, Bill Clinton decided to tell the Marine to “shut up and listen to my answer.”

“His mind has been poisoned by lies,” Clinton said. “He won’t listen.”

Less than one year later, according to CNN exit polls, veterans voted for Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton by a 2-to-1 ratio.
